How does web hosting work? How do I go about creating a website for my photography business?

I would like a site designed in Flash. How much space would I need? What is a good provider? How does it work exactly? Do I have to purchase a domain name as well as the actual web space?

such as, 110mb.com , x10hosting.com, awardspace.com
etc..

just google it..

as for the domain name, buy 1 in dynadot.com..


If you want a flash site, get a flash template, again, google it...


it wont take much space...

there are a alot of hosting companies and before you join one, check their reputation in google and the services. i host my site with not cheap hosting, their service is great and they also offer the affiliate program, so if you join you can also get extra commissions if you recruit someone elso.

One of their great services is the Free website set up that you controll and can change.

My suggestion is to check out the following.

You can get a domain name for about $15.00 /year

and a website with unlimited bandwith and storage for $14.95 / month

Host gator has 3 plans. Once you decide on a plan then you should call customer service and talk to a tech about what you would like to do and they will guide you thru the steps.

Also if you have little to no experience at building a website they have an ok website builder program which comes with your website.

I use host gator for my own websites but I build them with Frontpage 2003.
