Am I wrong or Edwards is commiting political self-assassination? I'm aware of how much he's dedicated his time and energy to help the poor, especially where health is concerned. But why go this way against drug company ads?
It would make much better sense to all if he were to do everything possible to counteract the exhorbitant prices of medicines. There would be dozens of things he could work with to obtain it. I believe most of those medicine ads are directed to middle-class and the rich, whom are undoubtedly the ones who can purchase them. Aside, of course, from whomever has Medicare or Medicaid. Poor, uninsured, simply pass without doctors' care in many instances, and thence without medicines as well. Most usually go to hospital through emergency room. Some, if not most states, have some sort of plan to help w/ less costly meds delivered right at hospital or clinic. But regarding normal, yearly check-ups, etc., there are between 48 and 50 million uninsured who can't afford it!
