View Full Version : My British husband just divorced me. Will the retirement pension?
I received as his wife be payed back to him? I have advised the British Pension Service. By the way, I'm not British.
No I am not a British citizen and don't have a British passport and I do not live in England. I am just wondering if this will increase his pension that's all. I do not want to contest anything.

You may be able to get a settlement. Check with your lawyer about any statutes in the country and what the terms of divorce were.

Have you not got a British Passport. Or do you have Permanent Residency in the UK. The best and quickest thing you can do is:_
1) If you can afford it speak to a lawyer who specialises in international law.
2) Contact the Social Services Department in the UK. You can get their address and details from your nearest British Embassy. And keep on contacting the Pension's Department until you get an answer. Don't forget, you are dealing with a Government Department and bureaucrats.
I am so sorry that has happened to you.

don't worry, the British government is suffering from the American disease, the ex wife gets the lot regardless if she runs off with someone else, i know, she had the house and everything at the value of £280,000 and cash of £16,000 and now she wants my pension and guess what? she will get it
