one card wasnt used and the other is used so i took the unused limit and put it on the 2nd card and made a bigger limit on it. is this bad towards my credit report? is it considered the same as closing an account? thanks
i have multiple accounts going and iim not even close to 1/4 credit used on all accounts..it more convinient for me.

no you still have history on the other card. it isnt technically closed and makes the debt on other card look small in ratio

As long as you have at least two opened revolving credit lines minimum you should be fine. It would have been good for your history having the two separate accounts instead of now working with only one, unless as I stated before you have another credit account.

I don't believe it will effect your credit. I hope you combine these two accounts to a lower interest rate account. The closed (yes, that account is closed) account will still show up at your credit report for 7 years, and since your credit limits are combined, it should not effect any debit ratio at all (unless your use more or pay off more). Debt ratio is an OVERALL debts (on all credit cards) over the available credit limit (overall - all credit cards and revolving accounts ) to you.
